At Runcorn Heights State School, our school curriculum framework is framed by the Australian Curriculum in the areas of English, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography. The Queensland Curriculum informs the key learning areas of Health & Physical Education, Technology, The Arts & Languages Other Than English (Japanese) until they are replaced by further implementation of the Australian Curriculum.

In line with Education Queensland’s examples of unit plans, the teachers at
Runcorn Heights State School are adapting Education Queensland's C2C (Curriculum into the Classroom) units of work, ensuring consistency of curriculum delivery across all classes in a year level. Our teachers have been actively engaged in adapting these units of work to ensure that they suit the context of their classrooms and
students.Class teachers have designed a class newsletter to keep parents and families informed of what is happening in the classroom.
