The Library is known as the LRC – Learning Resource Centre.
Opening Times: The LRC is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 2.30pm.
We open at various times through the week during the play breaks. When the students can come and read, play games or draw and colour in.
All classes come to the LRC to borrow at a specific time during the week. Students are permitted to borrow up to 2 books and keep them for 2 weeks. They are shown where the different sections of the Library are.
Junior Fiction Books are located in low boxes, while Easy Fiction, Fiction, Graphic Novels, Hard Fiction and Non Fiction sections are located on shelves. We have introduced a Junior Non Fiction Section to cater for the increasing evidence of younger students wishing to explore topics of interest.
The large wall displays student work and is also used for displaying New Resources for borrowing, Star Reader Rewards and displays for Cultural Days.
In keeping with the open plan, coupled with smaller working areas, the whole aspect of the LRC has a flowing feel.
The Runcorn Heights Community is welcome to become members of the LRC and enjoy the wonderful environment that our students enjoy. We are happy for Parents to have their own borrower barcode.
Our Philosophy is: “make the LRC better because you have been here.”
Please come and say “Hello”.
