Runcorn Heights State School students are encouraged to contribute back to their school community through a variety of leadership opportunities.
From y3 - y6, each class chooses a Student Councillor to represent them at weekly Student Council meetings.
Each semester, classes choose a different student councillor to provide multiple opportunities for students to participate.
From year 5, students are invited to participate in Playground Leaders. Students are scheduled to support the Prep - Year 1 play area, supporting the younger students to get a long and include each other.
In term 4, Year 5 students are invited to apply for official Student Leadership positions.
